Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for a long time. Alexandra is famous for her roles on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was sixteen, she had landed several television roles, which included the leading role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. This film won an Oscar and received critical and commercial popularity. Additional Oscar nominated movies featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra was involved in many noteworthy projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. They include British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as well as French history mini-series Napoleon. She was also an active member of jury for the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
